TWV meets The Playground

We are very pleased to announce that, once again, we have joined forces with the amazing people that created The playground to deliver the THIRD virtual Playground:

 

‘TWV meets The Playground’ on Saturday 12th December 2020, 5pm - 8:30pm CEST (4-7:30pm UK time) via Zoom.


If you'd like to be part of the event as a Dancer. Please have a look at the videos below and fill the form letting us know with which choreographer you would like to work.


If you'd like to attend as a photographer, costume designer, musician, you can also choose a choreographer to work with, or you can also attend the event and "pass by" different  choreographers' processes.

IMPORTANT DATES


Wednesday 2nd Dec - Registration opens for all participants.


Thursday 10th Dec - Registration closes for all participants.


Friday 11th Dec - Mandatory Zoom gathering for all Choreographers at 18:30 - 19:30pm (BST) and for any other participant who may wish to learn how to use Zoom. 


Saturday 12th December - TWV meets the Playground no. 4



TWV meets The Playground | Saturday 12th DECEMBER 2020:

We will all meet online at 5pm (CEST) for an introduction. 

A joint warm-up will be led by a guest teacher from  5:15pm - 5:45pm.


The creative sessions will run in six different online studios from 6pm - 7:20pm, led by the  pre-selected Choreographers. 


We will all reconvene at 7:30pm in one studio for sharing.


The event will finish at 8:30pm.

Choose your choreographer and register

CORINA ANDRIAN

I want us to forget everything we know about instincts and rational impulses. In this session, we will attempt to suppress our first instincts and uncover the second ones, relearn how to function outside of habit, outside of choreography. The primary exploration will be in relation to a chair on which we forget how to sit. Forgetfulness translated into movement. Anything can happen.

DANIEL NAVARRO lorenzo

The TWV would be such  a great opportunity to make a new work with new dancers based on my new wip ORIGEN, teaching the repertory and making the dancer record themselves to later make a new film. A new chapter ofVideo Project #STATE 🏴 is the project I made during lockdown with my wish to connect people from around the world with my choreography, a fragile geography: STATE. Featuring and premiering the music by Adrian Blezien Pérez, plus 60 dancer from 25 countries.

My Idea for the Playground is called Talking Feet. The feet are usually perceived as a support system for the body while mostly we use our face or hands or the body to express and emote. But what if the feet speak , tell stories or have conversations. This is the idea that I would like to explore with you . We will learn and explore different movement of the feet and using these explorations will create a small piece on zoom. So let the feet do the talking for a change.

I would like to create a short digital dance exploring the topic of COLOUR and the positive emotions coming from it. This is a continuation of the research on colour I did for my solo work SOFT QUESTIONS. I would like to work individually with each dancer before the session to find a colour that unlocks their creativity.
